Welcome to the Jersey City Free Public Library Children Services landing page. The JCFPL Children Services Team is here to share our passion for children’s literature, library resources and programs, inspire a life-long appreciation for reading and learning among our patrons, and support all the youth within the Jersey City community to learn, grow and thrive! We are an anti-racist organization and committed to amplifying and elevating voices of authors that represent our diverse communities. While these have been challenging times, the Jersey City Free Public Library has a wide variety of online resources and virtual programs that are available to the public to access from the comfort of their home. Additionally, all of our branches are available for curbside pickup! Whether you are looking for specific children book titles or would like one of our librarians to make book recommendations, patrons may visit our online catalog to browse books they’d like to checkout and schedule a time to visit their local branch for curbside pickup. Patrons should visit the following page to learn how to create a library account and request materials from their preferred branch and obtain them through curbside pickup: https://www.jclibrary.org/bookrequest.

In addition to offering wonderful books for children to read, the JCFPL Children Services team also hosts a wide variety of educational virtual events and programs, which include story time, sing-alongs, music lessons, arts and craft sessions, chess classes, yoga sessions, dance lessons, author visits and other fun events!
