Who We Are

At the JCFPL, young adults are free to explore their full potential in a safe, welcoming environment. Opportunities abound, through literature, technology, classes, concerts, author talks, and library events. Our dedicated staff is prepared to help provide advice about our extensive collections and digital resources. As a community nexus and center for educational development, the JCFPL offers young adults access to information and resources for students to learn, grow, and succeed.

What We Do

Beyond the offerings of our physical collections of books, movies, technology, classes, lectures, games, and events, young adult patrons of the JCFPL can use our locations as study and relaxation spaces. As education and Jersey City evolve, the JCFPL is changing with it to meet the needs of our teen residents. Events, collections, classes, concerts, and staff are prepared to help our young adult patrons navigate through challenges.

Digital Services

In addition to our staff, locations, and collections, the library offers many digital resources for the teen audience. For entertainment, JFCPL card holders can stream movies, TV shows, and music. They can download audiobooks, ebooks, and magazines. For educational purposes, we offer digital resources with homework help, primary sources for research, SAT test prep, college prep materials, and specific skill building courses.
