Live Entertainment 2017

On Friday, November 24, 2017, over 200 people gathered at Miller Branch Library for a Thanksgiving weekend tradition: a rousing evening of R&B music, live on stage! This year’s lineup of four showstopping performers lit up the stage: King of Latin Soul Joe Bataan; the sensational Soul Generation featuring Cliff Perkins; the sweet harmonies of PRIME; and classic R&B songster Tony Riley!

This concert has been a fixture of the Thanksgiving weekend, going strong for 26 years, featuring local performers who always deliver artistry, energy, and all the crowd-pleasing favorites.

Headliner Joe Bataan’s set was full of his special blend of boogaloo, doo-wop, and Latin soul, and his nine-piece band brought the thunder on classics like “Gypsy Woman,” “Subway Joe,” and “Ordinary Guy.”
