JERSEY CITY, N.J. Nov. 9, 2016 – The Pavonia Branch of the Jersey City Free Public Library, located at 326 Eighth Street, will be closed until 2 p.m. today, Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2016, according to the Premier Management Associates, manager of the Wells Fargo building, which houses the branch.
As per the statement by Greta McKenney of Premier Management, “The water to the building will be shut down on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The shutdown will affect both hot and cold water in the building.
“Muccia Plumbing will be installing a shut off valve in one of the units.
“When arriving home later in the day, please run your water before using for approximately 10 minutes to wash out any sediment that may be trapped in the line due to the shutdown.
“Also, if you are home during this time please schedule accordingly so you have water during the shutdown for drinking, etc. Please make sure all faucets are in the off position.
“We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you.”
“As always, the Jersey City library makes sure its buildings are in good repair for use by our loyal library patrons, and works with other entities responsible for upkeep of library buildings,” said Library Director Priscilla Gardner, who is overseeing the renovation and restoration of the historic Main Library.
