JERSEY CITY, N.J. November 12, 2014 – According to the Jersey City Free Public Library, the Lending Department has CLOSED IMMEDIATELY today, Wednesday, November 12, 2014. Until the construction is done outside the Lending Department’s window, the decision to close will be made on a day-by-day basis by Library Director Priscilla Gardner. “We apologize for any inconvenience,” said Assistant Library Director Sonia Araujo, who oversees the Lending Department. When the Lending Department is closed, there will be no books borrowed. Books belonging to the Lending Department can be returned to any Main Library department and any branch in the library system.
