Relax & Enjoy an Evening of Live 70s Soul Musicat the 28th Annual Day-After-Thanksgiving Concert held Friday, November 28th, at the Miller Branch


JERSEY CITY, N.J.   November 6, 2014 – Get ready! Soon you’ll get the chance to hear the King of Latin R&B, Joe Bataan, and local bands; Soul Generation, featuring Cliff Perkins; TruSoL and PRIME, who have enjoyed entertaining their loyal fans for many years at this special venue, the Miller Branch Library.

Joe Bataan has become a much-desired perennial act, though he joined Soul Generation and PRIME in 2006, with TruSoL having entertained in 2011. However, it’s both Soul Generation and PRIME holding the fort, so to speak, with 18 years of soul-singing for Cliff Perkins & company at the Miller Branch, and 28, for PRIME.

LIVE ENTERTAINMENT – A Night to Unwind, Just for Us, the Jersey City Free Public Library’s annual Day-After-Thanksgiving concert – will be held on Friday, November 28th, between 8 – 10:30 p.m., at the Miller Branch Library auditorium, 489 Bergen Avenue in Jersey City. “We’ve been having these concerts since I was head of the Miller Branch, and” said Library Director Priscilla Gardner. “I’m so glad that, almost 40 years later, newcomers and loyal fans alike, come each year.”

The admission is free, however you must present a valid Jersey City Free Public Library card, or you can sign up for a library card at the door. ADULTS ONLY. No one under the age of 21 will be admitted.
