Pavonia Branch Closed Until Further Notice: Flooding Affects Electricity
JERSEY CITY, N.J. October 17, 2012 – The Pavonia Branch Library, 326 Eighth Street, of the Jersey City Free Public Library will be closed until further notice, due to flooding and water damage caused by the tenant above the Pavonia Branch. Electricity has been compromised and thus, has rendered computer usage inoperable.
Library administration is investigating the source and extent of the damage.
“We are disheartened about the need to close one of our branches, knowing how much Pavonia patrons enjoy their local branch. Please know we are working on getting the branch opened as soon as possible,” said Library Director Priscilla Gardner.
