The Jersey City Free Public Library is an exquisite architectural structure in the Italian Renaissance tradition that greets visitors with a Tiffany window in its main lobby.  The Main Library which has served Jersey City residents since its grand opening in 1901, offers a wide array of educational and cultural programming.

Today, this wonderful community asset is in need of significant modernization to ensure ADA compliance and to provide the museum-quality, climate-controlled stacks necessary to store and preserve the New Jersey Room's priceless historic documents and maps.

Donors will have the opportunity to provide an unrestricted gift or identify specific project areas to fund. Major donors will be acknowledged on a donation tree placed on the wall in the lobby after renovations, as a permanent reminder of those who made this valuable investment in this important community asset.

Everyone is encouraged to give - no donation is too small - and for your contribution, the Library will give you a small token of appreciation - from our Library logo signature items (cap, mug or a canvas tote) to an autographed book!

Please help renovate the century-plus historic Main Library in Jersey City, NJ.

Please contact Library Director Priscilla Gardner @ 201-547-4788 if you would love to donate.
