National Wear Red

On Friday, February 2, 2018, the Jersey City Free Public Library participated in National Wear Red Day, an initiative held on the first Friday in February to bring national attention to the fact that heart disease is the #1 killer of women in the United States. JCFPL employees wore red, presented book displays and creative artworks, and came together to raise awareness of women’s risk of heart disease and empower women to take charge of their heart health.
