Closing Party 2006
     Before the summer’s readings of “Paws, Claws, Scales and Tales” scampered and slithered away, lots of fun happened with lots of party-goers at the closing party for Summer Reading Program 2006 on Friday, August 18th.

     The Children’s Room turned into a carnival with a variety of games to play and prizes to win. Some children even won their very own fish to keep as pets! The children also enjoyed pizza and ice cream and a special performance by the Children’s Room Puppet Club, who presented “The Boy Who Cried Wolf.” All Club participants received certificates and goody bags for their hard work.

     The Top 5 readers also received gifts from Barnes and Noble to keep up their reading habit. This year’s top readers were Lesley Luna, Luis Luna, Billy Luna, Tasmima Tazin and Sanaa Chouldry. After everyone’s hard work this summer, it was a great afternoon to celebrate!
The Bonetti Children’s Room Top 5
Each year the Top 5 Readers of the Summer Reading Program get honored at the Closing Party, held in the Vincenzo Domenico Bonetti II Children’s Room at the Main Library. Here they are (L to R): Sanaa Chouldry, Luis Luna, Billy Luna, Lesley Luna, and Tasmima Tazin.
