It was a night to remember…

The 5th Annual major fundraiser of the Jersey City Free Public Library Foundation, Inc. raised more money than ever from its Casino Night & Silent Auction, held on Thursday evening, May 8, 2008, at the Casino-In-The-Park in Hudson County’s Lincoln Park in Jersey City. The new, disabled-accessible Bookmobile that had been purchased by funds all raised by the Library Foundation (over $222,000…and not a cent spent from Jersey City taxpayers!) was unveiled that evening before the event and is now on the road, serving our outlying Jersey City library patrons. These recently procured funds are now earmarked for purchase of a camera security system that will be implemented throughout the full library system.

Just sit back and enjoy the photos, demonstrating the vast variety of Silent Auction gift baskets that had been offered for all Casino Night attendees on which to bid. hmmm… Makes you want to come next year, right?
