Comcast's 2004 Donation of $5,000 to Five Corners
for Computer Training for Seniors

YOU’RE NEVER TOO OLD TO LEARN COMPUTERS

Library Director Priscilla Gardner stands proudly with Comcast of Jersey City General Manager Jeff Crandall as their hands frame the teacher computer monitor in the Computer Training Room of the Five Corners Branch Library, with Joan Eccleston, Foundation Board recording secretary, alongside. Comcast donated $5,000 toward computer training for seniors to the Jersey City Free Public Library Foundation, Inc. The Computer Training Room accommodates six students, with a special override feature from the teacher’s monitor, for easy on-screen instruction. The gift will be able to provide over 500 hours of hands-on training for seniors at the Five Corners Branch, orchestrated by Victor Enriquez (not pictured) of the library’s MIS Department.
