Art in Our World Picture Gallery
On Saturday, April 27th, Biblioteca Criolla had the honor to host for the second year in a row the art works of the children of Fundación Manos a la Ayuda (Helping Hands Foundation). This non-profit organization that is dedicated to provide services for physical and learning disable individuals, their families, and other nonprofit organizations through the ARTS.
The participating children from the foundation are encouraged creative exploration, encourage artistic expression, and spark the inner creative abilities that lead to a life-long love of art. These are taught by professional volunteer teachers.
Biblioteca Criolla’s children room is a testament to the wonderful work of this foundation. In display are over 40 paintings and crafts that the participants created. I urge everyone to come by and see it
During the program the children were given awards for completing the program and were also treated to a little gift bag from StateFarm representative Mr. Carlos J. Capellan
The audience was treated to the music of 9 year old musical prodigy, Adiel Torres, who sang and played his guitar. Food was provided by Banco Popular
This program generated 53 people (30 adults and 23 children). It ran from 2 pm to approximately 4pm
Biblioteca Criolla is very happy to be part of this special foundation that expand young people’s understanding of the world, increase their self-confidence and help them develop creative vision for the future.
