Registration is now available for the 2018 Summer Reading Program:

Summer Reading for Kindergarten to 5th Grade

Summer Reading for Pre-Readers

Summer Reading for Young Adults

The Summer Reading Program is a FREE program of the Jersey City Free Public Library. It's a chance for children to read, learn, grow, and have fun at the Library all summer long! This summer, we're celebrating all the ways LIBRARIES ROCK - so make sure you are ready to make some music - and don't forget your dancing shoes!

Summer Reading Program events are happening every week from June 18 to August 10 - check out the schedule to find out what's going on at your local branch - be sure to check out what movies are showing, too! Registration begins June 1!

Every year, the Jersey City Free Public Library provides children with an opportunity to expand their minds and continue learning throughout the summer with the Summer Reading Program. Last year, over 650 children and young adults participated in the SRP - together they read more than 11,000 books and over 1 million pages! We know that Jersey City's amazing youth can top that record this year!
